A backup you’ve never restored is a hope, not a plan.
Backups fail quietly: a job that stopped months ago, a copy on the same network as the server it protects, retention too short to reach back before an attack. Microsoft 365’s recycle bins aren’t a backup either. We check what you have, fix what’s missing, and prove it with a real restore.
When to consider starting this project
- You’re not sure your backups would actually work
- Your Microsoft 365 data isn’t backed up
- Your insurer asked about tested backups
Designed, separated, tested, and written down.
- A review of what’s backed up today and what isn’t
- A backup design for servers, NAS, PCs, and Microsoft 365
- Off-site or immutable copies
- Retention settings that fit your needs and your insurer’s requirements
- A documented test restore
From first call to documented handoff.
Scoping is free, and the price is agreed before any work begins. Most projects are quoted at a fixed fee.
Before the work
-
Discover
We start with a free call. You tell us what you want, what you use now, and when you need it done.
-
Plan
We send you a free written plan. It lists the work and any equipment, with a price for each.
-
Sign
You sign the plan, and we put your project on our calendar. Nothing starts until you say yes.
The work
-
Implement
We do the work, mostly over the internet. If a job needs us in person, we come to you.
-
Adjust
Testing and real-life use show what needs work. We fix those things and fine-tune the setup.
-
QA
We check every item in your plan, one at a time. We don’t move on until everything works.
After the work
-
Document
We write down what we built, how it’s set up, and why. Our diagrams help whoever works on it next.
-
Handoff
We show you and your team how it all works. Then we hand over the passwords and the documents.
-
Follow-up
After we hand it over, we check back with you. We make sure everything still works.
We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so the sooner you’re scoped, the sooner you’re on the calendar.
Straight answers
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.
Doesn’t Microsoft back up Microsoft 365?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted data is recoverable only for limited windows: 14 days by default for permanently deleted email (up to 30), and 93 days in SharePoint recycle bins. A separate backup covers what falls outside those windows.
What’s an immutable backup?
A copy that can’t be changed or deleted for a set period, even by an administrator. It’s one of the strongest defenses against ransomware, which often goes after backups.
How do you prove a backup works?
We restore real data, confirm it opens, time how long it took, and write it all up in a restore test report.
Will this satisfy our insurer?
We set retention and off-site copies to match your insurer’s requirements, and the restore test report is evidence you can show them.
For MSPs
Backup and recovery implementations for client environments, finished with a documented restore test.
We deliver it white-label or co-branded, work in your PSA, RMM, and documentation platform, and never sell managed services to your clients.
