Server and virtualization refreshFor businesses and MSPs
Replace the aging server, or retire it for good.
We plan every workload first, then build new Hyper-V or VMware hosts, consolidate what’s left, or move workloads to Microsoft 365, with backups tested and retired drives wiped.
- Free scoping
- Fixed-fee proposal within two business days
- Labor warranty

End of support and licensing changes are forcing the decision.
Windows Server 2016 is close to the end of support. Broadcom stopped selling perpetual VMware licenses in December 2023 and has required a 72-core minimum purchase since April 2025. Sometimes the right answer is a new host. Sometimes it’s moving a workload to Microsoft 365 and retiring the server. We start with what each workload needs, then recommend the simplest setup that meets it.
When to consider starting this project
- Your server is out of warranty
- Hypervisor licensing changes are forcing a decision
- You want to know which servers you still need
A plan for every workload before any hardware is bought.
- An inventory of every workload and what it needs
- Host, storage, and hypervisor build
- Virtual machine migration and cutover
- Backup integration and a test restore
- Data wiped from retired hardware before it leaves your control
From first call to documented handoff.
Scoping is free, and the price is agreed before any work begins. Most projects are quoted at a fixed fee.
Before the work
-
Discover
We start with a free call. You tell us what you want, what you use now, and when you need it done.
-
Plan
We send you a free written plan. It lists the work and any equipment, with a price for each.
-
Sign
You sign the plan, and we put your project on our calendar. Nothing starts until you say yes.
The work
-
Implement
We do the work, mostly over the internet. If a job needs us in person, we come to you.
-
Adjust
Testing and real-life use show what needs work. We fix those things and fine-tune the setup.
-
QA
We check every item in your plan, one at a time. We don’t move on until everything works.
After the work
-
Document
We write down what we built, how it’s set up, and why. Our diagrams help whoever works on it next.
-
Handoff
We show you and your team how it all works. Then we hand over the passwords and the documents.
-
Follow-up
After we hand it over, we check back with you. We make sure everything still works.
We take on a limited number of projects at a time, so the sooner you’re scoped, the sooner you’re on the calendar.
Straight answers
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.
Should we stay on VMware?
It depends on your size and licensing. We compare staying on VMware, moving to Hyper-V, and retiring servers in favor of Microsoft 365, then recommend the simplest option that fits.
Do you sell servers?
No. We specify the hardware and you buy it directly, from your usual supplier or a partner we can introduce.
What happens to the old hardware?
We wipe data from retired drives before the hardware leaves your control.
How much downtime should we expect?
It depends on the workload. We agree on an acceptable window for each one during planning, and schedule cutovers outside business hours where we can.
For MSPs
Host builds, hypervisor moves, and server consolidations for your clients, with as-built documentation.
We deliver it white-label or co-branded, work in your PSA, RMM, and documentation platform, and never sell managed services to your clients.
